Italy and the US tie for first place in guide to the best pizzerias

Una Pizza Napoletana, in New York, and I Masanielli, in Caserta, were elected this Monday (8) as the best pizzerias in the world in the international 50 Top Pizza awards.

The American and Italian establishments run by Anthony Mangieri and Francesco Martucci, respectively, tied for the lead.

The decision was announced at the Mercadante Theater in Naples during the awards ceremony, broadcast live on social media and presented by Spanish journalist and influencer Verónica Zumalacárregui.

Brazil performed well in the awards, as Leggera Pizza Napoletana, in São Paulo, came in third place, behind only the pizzerias in New York and Caserta, which tied for first, and The Pizza Bar on 38th, in Tokyo.

Other Brazilian establishments were also among the 100 best pizzerias on the planet, including Ferro e Farinha (31st), QT Pizza (36th), A Pizza da Mooca (36th), Única Pizzeria (50th) and Veridiana (96th).

"We are very pleased and honored with what we achieved in 2025. A year that brought us great satisfaction, for a quality pizza community around the world that now knows no bounds," said Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro and Albert Sapere, curators of the guide.
