PSP arrests suspect of violent robbery in Olhão
A man was arrested and two others identified by the PSP following a violent robbery that occurred in the city of Olhão , the PSP District Command of Faro reported in a statement.
The alert was sent to the local police station on Wednesday afternoon, following a phone call reporting that three individuals were assaulting two citizens and stealing their personal property. Police were immediately mobilized to the scene. After contacting the victims and gathering information, the suspects were located nearby.
According to the press release, upon noticing the police presence, the three individuals fled in different directions. One of them was eventually intercepted and detained, having in his possession some of the stolen property moments earlier.
In the following hours, several investigative steps were taken, resulting in the location and identification of the remaining suspects, enabling the recovery of additional assets belonging to the victims.
The arrested suspect, with a vast history of committing criminal acts of various kinds, was brought before the Court and was subject to the coercive measure of Preventive Detention.
