Presentation of the book 'Baraçal do Côa – a case of cultural change'

The book 'Baraçal do Côa – a case of cultural change' will be presented this Saturday, August 2nd, at 3:30 pm, at the Baraçal Parish Council. In 1970, Domingos Nabais, a native of Baraçal, presented his undergraduate dissertation, 'Baraçal do Côa – a case of cultural change' and the work is now (re)published by the Sabugal City Council.
This is a landmark work in anthropological research, a monograph that characterizes cultural change in Baraçal, but which also affects the rest of the country, particularly the villages in the municipality of Sabugal due to their geographical proximity and cultural affinities.
The presentation session will feature the participation of Carlos Borregana, President of the Baraçal Parish Council; Vítor Proença, President of the Sabugal Municipal Council; Manuel Meirinho, President of the Sabugal Municipal Assembly; Ricardo Ramos Pinto, President of ISCSP-University of Lisbon; Ivone Nabais, daughter of the author, Domingos Nabais; and Norberto Manso, Anthropologist, who will present the work.
