Linhares da Beira Paragliding Festival

The Linhares da Beira Paragliding Festival will take place from August 14th to 17th, 2025, during the village's traditional summer festivities. As in previous years, the Festival is co-organized by the municipality of Celorico da Beira and the Vertical Free Flight Club, with the support of the Linhares da Beira Parish Council.

At the foot of the Serra da Estrela, at an altitude of 820 m, the Historic Village of Linhares da Beira welcomes paragliding enthusiasts and tourists, especially those with an adventurous spirit, with open arms all year round, challenging them to spread their wings and fly, embarking on an unforgettable paragliding adventure or starting out with a free flight (two-seater), which will allow them not only to contemplate, from high in the sky, the singular beauty of this medieval city, a true open-air museum, but also to be entranced by the breathtaking sumptuousness of the mountain landscapes.
