Record-breaking visits to the Polish city. Tourists are arriving in droves.

Lublin, although not often the first choice when discussing the most popular cities in Poland, is experiencing a veritable siege. It's flourishing before the eyes of both Polish citizens and foreign tourists. City officials are reporting record-breaking visits for the first six months and nearly a million visitors. The forecasts for the future are even brighter.
Tourists rushed to LublinLublin City Hall released data showing that in the first half of 2025, Lublin was visited by 893,000 people, 27% of whom were foreign visitors. Among these, the largest numbers were British, American, and German. Among Poles, the largest numbers came from the Masovian, Lublin, and Lesser Poland voivodeships. This isn't over yet, as the city's second half of the year is ahead, and it could be just as good.
Positive news with data was published, among others, in an Instagram post on the @turystycznylublin profile. It was reported that the statistics come from a study of tourist traffic, which involves collecting geolocation data in anonymized big data sets.
According to information provided by Beata Stepaniuk-Kuśmierzak, Lublin's Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sport, and Participation, a new record can be reached, with the number of visitors surpassing 90,000 during the same period last year. "The steady increase in tourist traffic observed year-on-year indicates that our city is becoming an increasingly attractive destination," she said.
Those familiar with Lubin know it has much to offer and aren't surprised by such a large turnout. Last year's film, "True Pain," directed by Jesse Eisenberg, played a significant role in promoting the city. It was filmed in Poland, among other locations. Importantly, Kieran Culkin, who starred in the film, won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.
Lublin attracts visitors with its charming streets, attractions, and colors. Some compare the city to the Italian city of Padua , citing numerous architectural similarities. Tourists are especially captivated by the Old Town, Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, Litewski Square with its portal and multimedia fountain, and the Saxon Garden. Other local attractions include Lublin Castle, the Dominican Basilica, and the State Museum at Majdanek.
