What a performance by the Polish women! Two medals and a world record at the World Games.

We have two medals at the World Games in Chengdu! In freediving, Julia Kozerska took first place, while Magdalena Solich-Talanda came in third. Kozerska also set a new world record, which now stands at 222.5 meters.
Sunday got off to a great start for the Polish national team at the World Games in Chengdu. Julia Kozerska and Magdalena Solich-Talanda shared the podium in freediving. The former took gold, while the latter took bronze.
Kozerska can celebrate more than just a medal. She also broke her own world record, swimming underwater on a single breath for a distance of 222.5 meters. Her previous best, set in May of this year in Athens, was 214 meters.
This marks the fifth and sixth medals for the Polish team at the event in China. Kacper Majchrzak won the individual gold and silver medals in the rescue event, and he and his relay teammates (Adam Dubiel, Wojciech Kotowski, and Mateusz Grabski) added another silver medal. Dariusz Myćka and Madara Freiberga took bronze in the standard dances.
