Sabalenka is back in action! It's going to be a huge hit in Cincinnati

Aryna Sabalenka played her first match since Wimbledon. After a month's break, the ranking number one entered the WTA tournament in Cincinnati. She had a bye in the first round and defeated Marketa Vondrousova in the second. An interesting challenge awaits her in the third.
Aryna Sabalenka played her last match on July 10th, a Wimbledon semifinal in which she surprisingly lost to Amanda Anisimova. The Belarusian was scheduled to play in a WTA 1000 event in Montreal next, but withdrew, citing fatigue.
A month after the Grand Slam in London, Sabalenka returned to action. She competed in the 1,000-seed tournament in Cincinnati, another prestigious tournament in North America, leading up to the US Open, which is her target for this part of the season.
The Belarusian was, of course, seeded No. 1. This gave her a bye in the first round. In the second round, she faced Marketa Vondrousová. The Czech player only caused Sabalenka problems in the first set, which the ranking leader won 7-5 and only conceded one game in the second.
The Belarusian is now in the third round of the Cincinnati tournament. She will face Emma Raducanu for another victory. The two women recently played each other at Wimbledon. In London, after a fierce battle, Sabalenka emerged victorious, triumphing 7-6(6), 6-4.
Aryna Sabalenka - Marketa Vondrousova 7:5, 6:1
