Radosław Kałużny: Feio spoke about his love for Legia, and when it came down to it, he sacrificed it once or twice

Wołosik: Efthymios Koulouris, Pogoń Szczecin striker and top scorer, was named the best Ekstraklasa player of the past season.

Kałużny: And in connection with that I have some doubts. Hats off to you, because 28 goals is a great result, but Pogoń Szczecin has not won anything this season. It lost the championship, the Polish Cup final, did not qualify for the cups, so the greatest distinction for one of its players is debatable. Koulouris rightly won in the Forward of the Season category, but personally I would not vote for the Greek in the Footballer of the Season competition.

Wołosik: So who?

Kałużny: On Afonso Sousa, because for a large part of the games he was pulling Lech by the ears, until finally, together with his teammates, they pulled the championship cup by the ears. But I completely agree with the choice of Niels Frederiksen as the best trainer. A guy who was not much known in Poland came to Poland and led Lech to gold in his first season.

Wołosik: A handful of fans, but they still complain that Lech is a weak champion.

Kałużny: No, no... It's true that he's often been annoying this season, but in the end he finished first, and discussing whether he's a tailor-made champion doesn't make much sense today. Last year I read that Jagiellonia is also a weak champion. What bullshit?!

You know perfectly well that Lech was not my favourite, but they deservedly won the gold medal. Last season it was Jaga. No one defended to overtake them. I heard coach Marek Papszun complaining that his team did not win the championship, among other reasons, because the referees made a mistake several times to Raków's disadvantage. I actually laughed, because in this particular case I would have kept quiet if I were Częstochowa. They were the ones who were treated kindly by the referees. To refresh your memory, I will only recall the "gift" penalty kick that Raków received in Białystok.

Wołosik: Do you agree with other choices of the best league players?

Kałużny: Bartosz Mrozek, Lech's goalkeeper, most definitely deserved the award, but I would also understand if the trophy was given to Sławomir Abramowicz from Jagiellonia.

Wołosik: Another Jaga player, Mateusz Skrzypczak, was named the best defender.

Kałużny: And I won't be surprised if we hear in a moment that Mateusz is leaving the club. I'll point out that I don't have any secret knowledge, but it's known that his contract includes a transfer fee. I've heard that it's less than a million euros, which is an amount that wouldn't scare anyone from abroad.

Wołosik: If the gala honored a club for an unexpected turn of events, the award would go to Legia Warsaw. For parting ways with coach Goncalo Feio.

Kałużny: This divorce from Goncalo Feio looked exactly like his style – with a row. In such an atmosphere he left Motor Lublin, now he said goodbye to the capital in the same way. When it seemed that everything was settled, he suddenly overturned the table. Like a spoiled child he started stamping his foot and setting conditions. I understand that if he had finished the season with at least a double crown, then his demands could have been analyzed, but in a situation when the Warsaw team did not have even a shadow of a chance to win the championship, the Portuguese approached the matter too recklessly and with enormous self-confidence. Self-confidence in itself is not bad, but in the right circumstances. And coach Feio talked so much about his love for Legia, his dedication to it, and when it came to it, he sacrificed it once or twice, from Monday to Tuesday.

I would also single out Lechia Gdańsk, which was given up long ago, but despite financial turbulence and sports twists and turns, managed to stay in the league, so the nomination for its coach was justified. Well, Śląsk Wrocław turned out to be the most compromised team. It is incredible how after winning the vice-championship, it was possible to play such a hopeless season. I warn against optimistic voices that the year will fly by and Śląsk will return to the Ekstraklasa. Please look at Wisła Kraków, whose one year in the first league was also supposed to fly by in a flash, and now it is running its third. It is much easier to fall than to advance. Wisła is not the only one who has learned this. Ruch Chorzów, ŁKS Łódź, Miedź Legnica were theoretically supposed to spend one season wintering in the Ekstraklasa hinterland, but they managed to settle there.

Wołosik: As for Śląsk, you had no illusions much earlier. I quote: "Śląsk Wrocław, which is still the vice-champion of Poland, is slowly organizing a trip to the first league. And in this case, for the fans from Wrocław it is also despair and, needless to say, shame. A nice stadium, many fans, money flowing from the city treasury, and in a moment it will have to be rebuilt one floor below. The vice-champion of the country is saying goodbye to the Ekstraklasa. Sure, such tragedies have happened, but they are extremely rare. The glimmer of hope for keeping Śląsk alive was the withdrawal of Lechia's license, but in Gdańsk the community turned out to be selfless and collected money so that the club would not go under. That is, the president threw in some money and provided support".

Kałużny: Nothing to add, nothing to subtract, Mr. Piotr!
