FC Barcelona is out! Great emotions at the end
AS Monaco defeated Barcelona 85:84, and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens defeated Anadolu Efes Istanbul 75:67 in Tuesday's Euroleague quarterfinals. This gave us the lineup for the Final Four, which will be held in Abu Dhabi.
The fifth match was extremely close and was decided right at the end. Kevin Punter had the shot to advance but missed. This meant that AS Monaco won 85:84 and registered for the Final Four. The most points were scored by the French star Mike James (20).
A little later, the basketball players of Panathinaikos and Anadolu Efes Istanbul started playing. The defending champions lost only once (2:3), and then gradually increased their advantage. Ultimately, the Greeks won 75:67 and advanced to the Final Four. 28 points for the winners were scored by Cedi Osman, a former player of... Anadolu Efes.
The Final Four will be held for the first time in history this year in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (May 23-25). Previously, Olympiakos and Fenerbahce had advanced to the Final Four.
