Ministry of Health reports: 244 surgical procedures for advanced endometriosis
The Ministry of Health announces the possibility of expanding care for women with endometriosis. This is a program that was launched in July this year.
According to the ministry, from July 1 to October 16, 244 surgical procedures for advanced (deep) endometriosis were performed .
"The new care model is currently being implemented by eight specialized centers with the greatest experience in the surgical treatment of deep endometriosis. The results of the implemented model are being analyzed on an ongoing basis, and decisions about possible expansion of the scope of care will be based on them," the Ministry of Health announced in a post on the X portal.
On Friday, the Ministry of Health held a meeting summarizing the implementation of services under the "Comprehensive specialist care for patients with endometriosis" program.
Free diagnostics – quick and comprehensive, enabling early detection of the disease.
Comprehensive treatment – conservative, surgical and postoperative, including endometriosis outside the reproductive system, tailored to individual medical indications.
Additional support – physiotherapy, psychological support and dietary consultations.
Surgeries will be performed in specialized centers with experience in treating advanced endometriosis and modern medical equipment. Treatment outcomes will be monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
The new model was developed with the participation of a national consultant in obstetrics and gynecology and leading experts in the treatment of endometriosis, guaranteeing the highest quality of care.
