Marcin Bosacki delivered a powerful speech at the UN Security Council meeting. The Russian ambassador denied the allegations.
Before the meeting, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Bosacki read a joint statement from 50 UN member states. "We are here to express our deep concern and draw the international community's attention to another flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter committed by the Russian Federation," Bosacki said during his speech just before the Security Council meeting began.
He added that Poland, for the first time in history, had requested an extraordinary meeting of the Council due to Russia's irresponsible actions. "This constitutes not only a violation of international law, but also a destabilizing escalation that brings the entire region closer to conflict than at any time in recent years," Bosacki said.
