Krakow challenges Warsaw. The stakes are high. The title of capital can be retained

• The Mayor of Krakow published a video on his social media on Friday in which he encouraged the capital to compete in turnout in the second round of the presidential elections.
• The Vice President of Warsaw has taken up the challenge. The campaign aims to increase voter turnout during the second round of the presidential elections.
• Other cities are also competing, such as Wrocław with Wałbrzych, Pruszków with Wołomin. Voivodeships have also joined the action.

The mayor of Krakow, Aleksander Miszalski, published a video in which he said that Krakow was challenging Warsaw.

If on June 1, the current capital achieves a higher voter turnout, we will accept your argument and on June 5, on the Day of Krakow's Day , all of Krakow will go out to the ordinary court, but if Krakow wins, all of Warsaw will admit its mistake and on June 4, on the Day of Warsaw's Day , all of Warsaw will go out to the field

He also added that Warsaw can retain the title of capital.

Renata Kaznowska, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, reacted to the publication.

Mr. President, challenge accepted. If on June 1st the turnout in Warsaw is higher than in Krakow, then on June 5th, on the occasion of Krakow's holiday, all of Krakow will go outside. If on June 4th, on the day of Warsaw's holiday, Warsaw will go out into the field. And we will not give up the capital.

Other cities are also competing, such as Wrocław with Wałbrzych, Pruszków with Wołomin. The following voivodeships have also joined the action : Lubuskie with Opole, Zachodniopomorskie with Małopolskie, Dolnośląskie with Pomorskie.

Additionally, in Wrocław there is competition between housing estates.

The second round of the presidential election, in which KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski will face PiS-supported Karol Nawrocki, will be held on June 1.
