CIS Election Assistant. Take the test and see which candidate you are closest to

The first round of presidential elections will take place on May 18. For those who have not yet decided who to vote for, we have created the CIS Election Assistant. It allows you to compare your own views with those of individual candidates. The aim is to help you make thoughtful and informed voting decisions.
The assistant is easy to use - just answer the questions: yes, no or I have no opinion. The user also has the option to specify how important a given matter is to them.
The CIS Election Assistant is available here
The questions are tailored to the most important topics discussed during the election campaign. They concern the economy, security, ideological issues and social policy.
We contacted all the electoral committees, asking for answers. In cases where they were not provided, we supplemented the information based on an analysis of the programs and public statements of the candidates.
There are 13 candidates running for president. They are:
- Artur Bartoszewicz,
- Magdalena Biejat,
- Gregory Braun,
- Szymon Holownia,
- Marek Jakubiak,
- Maciej Maciak,
- Slawomir Mentzen,
- Karol Nawrocki,
- Joanna Senyszyn,
- Krzysztof Stanowski,
- Rafal Trzaskowski,
- Marek Woch,
- Adrian Zandberg.
One of the most important tools of presidential power is the right of veto, or the ability to refuse to sign a bill, which can effectively delay or block its entry into force - unless the Sejm overturns the veto by a 3/5 majority vote. The president also has the right of pardon, which allows for the pardoning of a person convicted by a final court judgment.
