- The "Active Parent" program offers three forms of support for parents of children aged 12 to 35 months.
- The amount of benefits ranges from PLN 500 to PLN 1,900 per month and depends on the chosen option and the child's situation.
- Parents can only receive one benefit for each child, and payments are made monthly.
The " Active Parent" program reformed the system of support for parents of children under three. It introduces three types of benefits:
- active parents at work,
- actively in the nursery,
- actively at home.
Parents raising a child aged 12 to 35 months can receive one support payment for each child, depending on their choice.
None of the available benefits are income-based. However, the "active parents at work" benefit will assess both the parents' professional activity and the extent of that activity.
The "active parents at work" benefit is aimed at professionally active parents of a child aged 12 to 35 months.
- The benefit is PLN 1,500 per month for a period of 24 months from the 12th to the 35th month of the child's life.
- In the case of children with a disability certificate together with indications, the benefit is granted in an increased amount of PLN 1,900 per month.
The "actively in nursery" benefit has now been replaced by a subsidy to reduce the fee for a child's stay in a nursery.
- It is addressed to parents of children attending childcare institutions for children up to three years of age - i.e. a nursery, children's club or daycare provider.
- It is granted in the amount of up to PLN 1,500 per month per child or up to PLN 1,900 per month per child with a disability, but not more than the amount of the fee the parent pays for the child's stay in a care institution.
- The Act also introduces an upper limit on nursery fees, exceeding which will exclude the care facility or daycare provider from the benefit process. During the initial period of the Act's implementation, this threshold is PLN 2,200 per month.
The "actively at home" benefit is available for every child in the family aged 12 to 35 months and is paid in the amount of PLN 500 per month for 24 months.
- It is not possible to receive a benefit of PLN 1,000 for 12 months, as in the case of family care capital.
- This support is addressed to those parents of children aged 12 to 35 months who are not entitled to or do not voluntarily decide to use the "active parents at work" or "actively in nursery" benefit, in particular because they remain professionally inactive or their child does not attend a care institution.
The choice of one of the three above benefits depends on the parent's decision, assuming that only one of the benefits can be paid for the same child for a given month.
Payments under the "actively in the nursery" program are scheduled for the 20th of the month. The payment date for other benefits under this program is scheduled for the last business day of each month. This month, it will be August 29th.
