1,500 or 1,900 PLN for everyone, regardless of income. Payments from October 31st
- "Active Parent" offers three forms of support: active parents at work, active at nursery and active at home.
- You can get from PLN 500 to PLN 1,500 per month, and in the case of children with disabilities - PLN 1,900.
- ZUS pays out funds under the active nursery program on the 20th of the month, and the remaining funds on the last working day of the month.
"Active Parent" has introduced changes to the support system for parents of children under 3 years of age. The program offers three types of benefits:
- active parents at work,
- actively in the nursery,
- actively at home.
Parents of children aged 12 to 35 months can choose one benefit for each child.
None of the available benefits are income-based. However, the "active parents at work" benefit will be assessed for both the parents' professional activity and its scope, the government announced.
The "active parents at work" benefit is intended for working parents with a child aged 12 to 35 months:
- is payable in the amount of PLN 1,500 per month for 24 months from the 12th to the 35th month of the child's life;
- in the case of children with a disability certificate, the benefit is granted in an increased amount of PLN 1,900 per month.
The "actively in nursery" benefit replaced the previous nursery subsidies:
- is addressed to parents of children attending childcare institutions for children up to three years of age - i.e. a nursery, children's club or daycare provider;
- is entitled to up to PLN 1,500 per month per child or up to PLN 1,900 per month per child with a disability, but not more than the amount of the fee the parent pays for the child's stay in a care institution.
- The Act also introduces an upper limit for nursery fees, exceeding which will exclude the institution from the process of granting the benefit; the threshold is PLN 2,200 per month.
The "actively at home" benefit is available for every child aged 12 to 35 months and is paid in the amount of PLN 500 per month for two years:
- it is not possible to receive a benefit of PLN 1,000 for 12 months, as in the case of family care capital;
- This support is addressed to those parents of children aged 12 to 35 months who are not eligible or do not voluntarily decide to use the "active parents at work" or "actively in nursery" benefit.
It is the parent who decides to choose one of the three benefits, but only one benefit can be received per child.
ZUS pays benefits from the Active Parent program for the previous month, for example, in December for November. Active nursery benefit payments are scheduled for the 20th of each month. ZUS pays other benefits from this program on the last business day of each month. This month, that will be October 31st.
