Despite Giorgio Armani's death, the fashion machine continues to move forward. According to an official statement from his company, the Emporio Armani collection and Giorgio Armani luxury line will continue as scheduled at the end of September during Milan Fashion Week. Additionally, as part of the brand's 50th anniversary celebrations, a retrospective exhibition of the legendary designer's work will open at the Pinacoteca di Brera.

On September 4, Giorgio Armani, one of the most respected designers in history, died at the age of 91 .

"He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. He worked tirelessly until his final days, devoting himself to the company and its projects, both existing and those in the making," the Giorgio Armani fashion house, which he founded in 1975, said in a statement.

- He had been recovering for months after his hospital stay, which he kept secret until the very end - reported the Italian daily "La Repubblica".

Two days later, crowds of mourners gathered at the Armani Theatre in Milan to pay tribute to the legend of high couture. The city's mayor, Giuseppe Sala, spoke at the ceremony. He emphasized that the late designer was "a man of unparalleled elegance" who left a lasting impact not only on the fashion industry but also on the Lombardy capital. He also recalled his unwavering dedication to his work, even in the final months of his life. Donatella Versace, among others, attended the designer's ceremonious farewell.

Meanwhile , the Armani Group announced that the Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani collections for next spring will go ahead as scheduled. Two Emporio Armani shows will take place at the Armani Theatre on September 24th. Meanwhile, the presentation of the more luxurious Giorgio Armani line at the Pinacoteca di Brera, scheduled for September 28th, will close the upcoming edition of Milan Fashion Week.

Furthermore, September 24th will also see the grand opening of a retrospective exhibition of the designer's archival designs, organized as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of his iconic brand. 150 creations selected from the Armani archives will be on display at the Pinacoteca de Brera.

"The fashion shows and the opening of the exhibition, which Giorgio Armani worked on until the very end, reflect our determination to continue his legacy of immense commitment and dedication to work - values that have always defined Mr. Armani and which he has instilled in all his colleagues over the years," Armani Group said in a statement quoted by Women's Wear Daily.
