In the era of Instagram and endless feeds full of sunsets, turquoise lagoons and palm trees swaying lazily in the wind, traveling has gained a new dimension – an aesthetic one. In this spirit, Travelbag, a British booking service, analyzed 45 of the most popular "island" destinations and ranked them according to the number of hashtags on Instagram. The winner? Indonesia's exotic pearl – Bali .

Bali – the most beautiful and photogenic island in the world

With over 75 million hashtags, Bali leaves the competition far behind, proving that it is not just a place, but a way of life. The island offers unique outdoor locations: from the dramatic cliffs of Uluwatu , through the misty jungle of Ubud , to the rice terraces of Tegalalang . It is a paradise for surfers, lovers of nature, culture and aesthetics. And not only that! Sri Lanka and Cuba – Bali's tropical rivals

Second place went to Sri Lanka – an island with an incredible diversity of landscapes and cultures, which has gained 18 million hashtags . From the golden beaches of Mirissa , through the tea plantations in Ella , to the ancient ruins of Sigiriya – this place impresses with its authenticity and color.

Third place went to Cuba with 15.3 million hashtags , where Havana's colonial architecture, salsa rhythms and classic American cars create a unique atmosphere. Cuba is an aesthetic time machine - the perfect setting for romantic shots.
