During the 21st Health Market Forum in Warsaw, a new roundtable session was organized in a closed-door format. The discussion, titled "Deregulation in Health – More Flexibility, More Accountability," was one of the most important and substantive highlights of this year's Forum. Experts and opinion leaders discussed the challenges posed by deregulation in the healthcare system – the need for greater flexibility, but also accountability for the quality and safety of services.
How to simplify the system while maintaining the safety and quality of services? Health management without legislation – is it safe for the system?
What has been achieved so far? How can the implemented changes improve the situation? Hospital reform as an example: finding a balance between deregulation and overregulation is difficult. Professional competence regulations as an example of the difficulties in regulating what already exists and the risks associated with deregulation and overregulation – these were the topics discussed by experts during the session "Deregulation in Health – More Flexibility, More Accountability."
The new format of the session – an intimate roundtable – fostered an open, in-depth discussion about the most important changes and regulatory challenges in healthcare. The exchange of experiences and opinions between participants confirmed the high level of expertise and strategic importance of this debate for the entire sector.
