August 6th marks the official end of President Andrzej Duda's ten-year term in office. While he's leaving office, according to the Act on the Emoluments of Former Presidents, he's entitled to a lifetime pension and a number of privileges, Super Express reminds.
According to "SE", after the end of his second term, Andrzej Duda will be entitled to a presidential pension for life, i.e. a statutory emolument to which every former president of Poland is entitled, regardless of age or social security contributions.
This means that, under current regulations, the presidential pension is 75% of the incumbent president's base salary. In 2025 , the base salary is approximately PLN 18,413 gross per month , so according to the website, this translates to a pension of approximately PLN 13,809 gross .
However, the pension may be higher due to the functional allowance and long-term service in public administration. Consequently, after taking all components into account, the benefit can reach up to PLN 18,500 gross per month , while the total sum of the pension and benefits will amount to a maximum of approximately PLN 26,300 gross , according to "SE."
