Road repairs all over Poland. Bridges are the first to go

• The Ministry of Infrastructure will transfer PLN 330 million to 107 local governments from the local government roads modernization program.
• However, we will have to wait for the improvement of the quality of roads, because some local governments are about to hold tenders, while others are in the middle of the procedures - said Minister Dariusz Klimczak.
• Since the countersignature of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration is required in this case, the money for road modernization will reach local governments only in a few days, he added.

During a press conference on the A2 motorway, the Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak announced that the Ministry of Infrastructure has published a list of entities that will receive funding for road investments from the local government road modernization and expansion program.

This concerns 107 provincial governments, as well as rural and urban counties, which will receive PLN 330 million in funding for road investments.

- Klimczak said.

He added that the common denominator of subsidies throughout the country are bridge projects.

The list of investment subsidies was accepted by the joint government and local government commission. We have established that this year, bridge projects in various parts of the country will receive subsidies.

- said Klimczak, emphasizing that local governments in the Łódź province will receive almost PLN 30 million from this pool.

For those who have been waiting for the renovation of Brzezińska Street between Nowosolna and Łódź, I have good news. There is a decision. Almost 12 million zlotys will go to Łódź, and thanks to the subsidy, it will be possible to modernize this section. The entrance from Brzeziny to Łódź will soon be of the twenty-first century standard.

Apart from Łódź , the beneficiaries of the bridge programme included: Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Pabianice, Bełchatów, and Radomsko.

PLN 5 million of support will go to Tomaszów Mazowiecki for the renovation of the bridge at Modrzewskiego Street.

In Skierniewice, a bridge along Prymasowska Street will be modernized for PLN 5 million.

In Bełchatów, the modernization of bridges along Olsztyńska Street will be co-financed. Radomsko and Pabianice will also receive funds from the ministry.

As announced by the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure, funding for local government roads will be provided, among others, to Opole and Nysa County.

Funding was also provided to road projects submitted to the programme, including those from the Lublin and Masovian voivodeships.

However, we will have to wait for the improvement of the road quality , as some local governments are about to hold tenders, while others are in the process of conducting the procedures.

He added that since the countersignature of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration is required in this case, the additional money for the modernization of local government roads will reach them only in a few days.

We have already submitted the documents, I personally called Minister Tomasz Siemoniak. I think that within a few days we will complete the procedure and the money will go to local governments
