No surprises for the Swiss. SNB cut interest rates

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has lowered its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 0.00 percent, the bank said in a statement on Thursday.
Analysts estimated that the SNB interest rate would be cut by 25 basis points on Thursday.
The SNB said it was ready to intervene in the currency market if necessary.
The bank estimates Switzerland’s GDP growth in 2025 at 1.0-1.5 percent and similarly in 2026.
The SNB inflation forecasts for 2025 are 0.2 percent, in 2026 0.5 percent and in 2027 0.7 percent.
