The Polar Bears will play

On Thursday at 8 p.m., the band Polarbaeren (Polar Bears) will play at winale.fm at 86 Jagiellońska Street in Szczecin. They represent the new Swiss scene, renowned for their energy and creativity.

Polarbæren's music is described as swirling, virtuosic live sessions. They are a creative group dedicated to breaking down conventions of what new jazz should and shouldn't be.

Their first project was the interdisciplinary "Das Karussell" (fall 2023), and their debut material, "EIS!", was recorded on the Morteratsch Glacier and presented in both its original and synthetically processed form. Five tracks and three interludes (cycles) create a clear conceptual framework. "EIS!" was released on October 4, 2024, by the Swiss label "Current Moves."

The band is currently on tour in Poland. They played at this year's Off Festival.
