Marek Kondrat's great return to the world of film. You can't refuse such a role

After a break of a dozen or so years, Marek Kondrat returns to acting. He will portray Ignacy Rzecki in the new film adaptation of Bolesław Prus' "The Doll". He will partner Marcin Dorociński, who will play Stanisław Wokulski.
- "The Doll" is my favorite novel. Never before in my acting life have I had the opportunity to be among its characters. My father managed to do it in the film adaptation by Wojciech Has. Now fate gives me this chance - and I want to take advantage of it. Rzecki is a character from "two worlds" - the departing one and the present one. This perspective is very close to me and makes me feel the relevance of this novel especially strongly. The dream team of creators gives me courage - Marek Kondrat said in a statement.
Kondrat is an actor who has made history in Polish cinema with roles in such films as "Dzień Świra", "Psy", "CK Dezerterzy" and "Pułkownik Kwiatkowski". In 2007, he announced the end of his acting career. His last role was in the film "Mała matura 1947" (2010).
It was previously announced that Marcin Dorociński would play the role of Izabela Łęcka in the new film adaptation of Stanisław Wokulski's "The Doll", and Kamila Urzędowska would play Izabela Łęcka.
When is the new film adaptation of "The Doll"?The filming of "The Doll" will begin in July. The director is Maciej Kawalski ("Dangerous Gentlemen"), and the cinematographer is Piotr Sobociński Jr. ("Corpus Christi", "The Wedding", "Wołyń"). The film is produced by Gigant Films and Telewizja Polska.
There will be both a cinematic film and a series, which will be a full version of the production. The previous film adaptations of "The Doll" are a film directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has from 1968 and a series from 1977 by Ryszard Ber. Currently, not one, but two film adaptations of "The Doll" are being made, because Netflix is also preparing a production based on Prus' novel.
