A young driver from Sandomierz County was stopped by SPEED traffic police officers. Despite his young age, the 19-year-old was a repeat offender. He used a bizarre excuse to justify reaching speeds of nearly 200 km/h.

On Tuesday after 9 a.m. on Wisłostrada Street in Tarnobrzeg, traffic police stopped the driver of a BMW for a roadside check. Behind the wheel was a 19-year-old resident of Sandomierz County.

The man was speeding at a whopping 192 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. He told police he was speeding because he was rushing to get to a math test .

During a road check and verification of the driver's data, the police found that the teenager had committed speeding while being a repeat offender .

In July, he also committed a traffic offense – then he received a fine of five thousand zlotys and was punished with fifteen penalty points .

He wasn't about to slow down. He was going 140 mph (227 km/h).

This is not the only high-profile arrest in recent days of a driver who blatantly violated traffic regulations and found a bizarre explanation.

In late August, a 46-year-old man was stopped on the S7 expressway , driving his Porsche at a speed of 227 km/h . He told officers that although he suspected a police car was following him, he had no intention of slowing down.
