MFA advises against travel to selected countries. List is growing

The Polish Embassy in Qatar "due to the rapidly changing security situation in the Persian Gulf region resulting from the conflict between Iran and Israel, as well as the involvement of the United States, recommends limiting travel to Qatar to essential purposes only." "Otherwise, people planning to arrive or transit should consider postponing their travel until the situation in the region has significantly de-escalated and stabilized," it was emphasized.

A similar message was sent by the Polish Embassy in Kuwait, which, in addition to that country, also applies to Bahrain. The MFA also advised against all non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia and Oman. "Consider postponing travel until the security situation normalizes. Follow carrier announcements," it said.

Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq and the UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to these countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended absolute vigilance on the Saudi-Yemeni border (provinces of Jizan, Najran, Asir), due to the ongoing armed conflict in Yemen. It was similar in the regions bordering Iraq (Northern Border Province). The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Erbil also reported that the MFA advised against "any travel to the Republic of Iraq, including the Iraqi Kurdistan Region."

The Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi also recommended limiting non-essential travel to countries in the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates, due to the increased tensions. "Difficulties in air traffic, including flight cancellations, should be expected. Please monitor local government announcements, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and missions regularly. We ask all travelers to countries in the region to register in the Odyseusz system available on the MFA website," it added.
