Last night, Russia allegedly shot down 128 Ukrainian drones that appeared over its territory. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 83 drones were destroyed over Krasnodar Krai. There were also numerous explosions there, and residential buildings were damaged. Fearing the threat, the authorities decided to close the Sochi airport.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that a massive drone attack took place on the territory of the Federation at night. "Over the past night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 128 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles ," the ministry said via social media.
According to the Russian side, its forces were supposed to have destroyed 83 drones over the territory of Krasnodar Krai, 30 over Crimea, eight over the waters of the Sea of Azov and five drones over the waters of the Black Sea. In addition, one drone was shot down over the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
In the morning, the ministry reported that the air defense systems on duty destroyed two more Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory .

Local residents reported that some of the drones hit residential buildings. The explosions were reportedly so loud that windows were blown out. The situation was commented on by Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev , who confirmed damage to several buildings but noted that no fatalities had been reported.
In response to the Ukrainian attack , the airport in Sochi was also closed .

The Air Force Command reported that air defense forces shot down 110 out of 177 enemy drones of various types that were over ten regions of Ukraine.
The Russian shelling damaged critical infrastructure, as well as apartment blocks and private homes. Damage was recorded in the Kiev, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad and Sumy regions.
