Drivers are facing road armageddon in the capital. Wisłostrada renovations aren't everything.

- On Monday, August 18, in the morning, road workers will begin replacing the surface on the second lane of Wisłostrada near the Citadel, according to the Warsaw City Hall.
- Between Krasińskiego and Wenedów streets, drivers will be able to travel in a single lane towards Mokotów. This lane will be designated on the road that normally leads towards Bielany.
- Work on Wisłostrada will last until the end of August.
- The City Hall also informs about several other road investments that will be implemented in Warsaw in the second half of August this year.
The last two weeks of the holidays will be very intense for Warsaw road workers.
During this time, they will renovate, among other things, the second lane of the Wisłostrada expressway near the Citadel. Work will also be carried out on Senatorska Street, the Poniatowski Bridge viaduct, and Marszałkowska Street.

In the next phase of the project, from August 15th to 31st, drivers will be using a single lane to travel along Wolska Street and Solidarności Avenue to the city center. They will not be able to turn onto Młynarska Street, and the only way out of Młynarska Street will be to the right. The detour will take Solidarności Avenue to Okopowa and Leszno Street. Karolkowa Street will lose its connection to Solidarności Avenue.

Two lanes will remain for northbound drivers. From Krasińskiego Street, you will only be able to exit left, and from Wenedów Street, right. Work on Wisłostrada will last until the end of August.
Until then, buses of line 185 towards the Ursynów Shopping Centre will detour along the following streets: Mickiewicza, Andersa, Muranowska, Konwiktorska and Sanguszki to Wybrzeże Gdańskie.

Also after the long weekend, road crews will be replacing the surface of Senatorska Street. Starting Monday, August 18th, at approximately 6:00 a.m., drivers will be restricted from Teatralny Square to Miodowa Street .
The detour will be via Andersa and Świętojerska Streets. Buses 518 will terminate and begin their journeys at the Esperanto loop, arriving via Świętojerska and Anielewicza Streets. Drivers will return to this section of Miodowa Street on Friday, August 22, at approximately 5:00 AM.

The contractor renovating the over-century-old Poniatowski Bridge viaduct will complete the replacement of the expansion joints. On Monday, August 18th, the morning of Monday, the right lane toward Praga-Południe will be closed , along the entire viaduct, from the Polish Army Museum building to Wisłostrada.
Drivers will have a single lane in this direction. They will still be able to exit onto Wisłostrada. Access to the Poniatowski Bridge will also be unimpeded. The replacement of the equipment will last until the end of the summer.
