Dangerous driving in Podhale. Two things caught the police's attention
The man now faces up to 3 years of imprisonment and his car as part of his sentence. The incident took place on Sunday, February 23, after 6:00 p.m.
Police officers from the Zakopane traffic police, during a check on national road no. 47, noticed a vehicle that was moving without its lights on and zigzagging along the road. After stopping and checking the driver's sobriety, it turned out that the resident of Krosno district was drunk.
In accordance with the new regulations, the drunk driver's car was secured in a guarded parking lot. The man lost his driving license and was taken to police custody. The drunk driver must reckon with severe consequences, including up to 3 years in prison, a high fine and a driving ban of several years. The final decision on the penalty will be made by the court.
