The incident occurred when two men tried to exchange a 100-dollar note at one of Łódź's currency exchange offices. In Warsaw, after a series of dangerous maneuvers on the road, the suspects were noticed by Łódź police. Despite the issued orders, the driver of the Mazda ignored the calls to stop, which led to damage to the vehicle and further pursuit.
Arrest and consequencesAfter a short foot chase, one of the men was detained. He turned out to be a 25-year-old Georgian citizen. The second suspect was detained the next day at a Warsaw hostel. The third companion, also a Georgian citizen, was detained at the same location.
