Colombians arrested in Nowe murder case. Police reveal new details

In the town of Nowe, a brutal fight took place, in which a 41-year-old man died . According to the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz, officers have just detained two more men - citizens of Colombia. In total, 13 people have already been detained, and today the hearings at the prosecutor's office are to begin with the participation of expert translators.

Late Sunday afternoon, officers detained two men – citizens of Colombia, aged 19 and 28. They were taken to police custody. In total, 13 people have been detained in the case: 10 citizens of Colombia and 3 Poles – the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz reported on platform X.

Today, the suspects are scheduled to be questioned with the participation of interpreters. The case is being supervised by the prosecutor's office, and the circumstances of the tragic night are still being explained.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 7, in the morning. At approximately 2:15 a.m., the police officer on duty in Świecie received a report of a brawl in the town of Nowe. As reported by Joanna Tarkowska from the Świecie Police Headquarters, a fight broke out between a group of men staying in the premises and a group passing by. During the scuffle, a 41-year-old resident of the Świecie district was fatally stabbed with a sharp instrument. Two other men sustained minor injuries.

The police detained some of the participants after a police chase. As described by the police spokeswoman, the officers noticed a vehicle quickly moving away, which did not respond to light and sound signals. In the town of Zdrojewo, a Hyundai tried to push a police car, and a collision occurred. After stopping the car, four men tried to escape on foot - all were caught. All were drunk.

That same morning, in a hotel in Nowe, police arrested a 29-year-old Colombian citizen. He is suspected of dealing the fatal blow.
