Archbishop Jędraszewski: They are trying to turn Poland into a ship that is drifting under the influence of various currents and eddies

They are trying to turn Poland into a ship that is drifting under the influence of various currents and eddies, said Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski during the Corpus Christi procession in Kraków. In his opinion, the current era is one of lies about freedom, mockery of holiness, and promotion of anti-values.
The central Corpus Christi procession in Krakow moved from Wawel to the Main Market Square on Thursday. At the next four altars built next to the churches of St. Giles, Saints Peter and Paul, St. Adalbert and the Basilica of St. Mary, sermons were delivered by Krakow bishops, the last being Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski.
In the context of the Gospel prayer for unity, the hierarch referred to Polish society, pointing out that "many forces and people want to divide us, divide us with lies, as if they wanted to build the Tower of Babel once again. Another system based on lies and violence."
"It hurts. It hurts a lot when a lie touches on things that are especially sensitive, sometimes intimate. When a spontaneous reaction of a small child is mocked. It hurts a lot," said the Metropolitan of Krakow. In this way, he referred to the unfavorable comments that appeared about the daughter of president-elect Karol Nawrocki when he appeared on stage with his family on election night.
According to Archbishop Jędraszewski, "the time we are living through is a time of lies". "First, about freedom, which is absolutized to the highest levels, and in fact leads to total anarchy. The time we live in is a time when sacred things are mocked and anti-values are propagated, including Satan, as was the case recently on the streets of Warsaw" - said the archbishop, referring to reports about the participation of the Global Order of Satan organization in the Equality Parade in the capital. The media reporting on the participation of members of this group in the parade referred to the Global Order of Satan Poland event created on Facebook, where 12 people declared their participation and 11 expressed interest.
“How often is this Republic of Poland being turned into a ship that is adrift under the influence of various currents and eddies, whether they come to us from outside or emerge from our internal abysses,” the hierarch assessed. He added that this is a “difficult time” that requires defining “not to give up,” but to understand that “the only true, loving answer is Jesus Christ and a return to him and to the truth to which he calls us.”
He added that a "new order" in Europe and Poland can only be built on the strongest foundation, which is "man renewed by the truth of the Gospel."
"This means that this is a renewed man in the understanding of the plan that God had for each and every one of us, calling man into existence as a man and a woman. A renewed man is one who rejects all ideologies that violate the dignity of women, men and the family. A renewed man, furthermore, is one who has respect for every other man, starting from the fact that he is ready to defend the life of every other man from the moment of his conception, throughout his life, until death and until eternity," he said.
