A change in the weather is coming. Storms and gusty winds at the end of the holidays.

Cloudy with possible thunderstorms – this is the forecast for Wednesday for northern regions of the country. In the rest of Poland, temperatures will hover around 25 degrees Celsius. Starting Thursday, the weather will deteriorate across the country – cloud cover will be heavy, and storms and strong winds will occur in many places.

Wednesday will be cloudy in the northern part of the country. There will be scattered showers in places, while localized thunderstorms are possible in the northeast. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) reports that rainfall during storms is expected to reach up to 10 mm . The rest of Poland will have moderate cloud cover.

Maximum temperatures in the center and south of the country will range from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius . In the foothill regions, temperatures can be expected to hover around 23 degrees Celsius, while the coldest temperatures will be in Pomerania, Warmia, and Mazury, at around 18 degrees Celsius. Northern Poland will also experience the strongest winds, with gusts of up to 65 km/h in the northeast.

Wednesday night into Thursday, partly to moderate cloud cover, also clear in the northwest. In places in the east, heavy and light rain may occur at times, and initially, fading thunderstorms are possible in Podlasie and Polesie Lubelskie. By morning, cloud cover will increase to heavy in the south of the country, with light rain also possible there.

Minimum temperature 5 to 6 degrees C in the north, around 11 degrees C in the center to 15 degrees C in the south. Winds weak, only initially moderate and gusty during storms, north and north-easterly.

On Thursday, partly to moderate cloud cover in the northern part of the country, with periods of heavy rain along the coast. Partly to completely cloudy in the rest of the country.

Rainfall, moderate at times, is expected in the Carpathians. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from the Sudetes Foothills, through the Opole region, Upper Silesia, Lesser Poland, and Kielce regions to the Subcarpathia and Lublin regions. Precipitation totals are expected to range from 10 mm to 20 mm in some areas.
