Tour peloton departs for a tough ride to Rouen

The Tour de France riders set off for the fourth stage just after 1:30 PM. After a neutralized section through Amiens, Tour de France director Christian Prudhomme signaled the official start of the challenging stage, which finishes in Rouen. Mathieu van der Poel once again wears the yellow leader's jersey. The Dutchman from Alpecin-Deceuninck is considered one of the contenders for the stage victory.
The final 30 kilometers feature four climbs, meaning the pure sprinters won't be in contention for the stage victory. Italian Jonathan Milan wears the green jersey as leader of the points classification. The Lidl-Trek rider took over from Jasper Philipsen, the Belgian who was forced to abandon the race after a crash on Monday. The finish is expected around 5:30 PM.
