PARIS (ANP/AFP) - Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has qualified for the third round of Roland Garros. The 22-year-old Spaniard won in four sets against Hungarian Fabian Marozsan, number 56 in the world: 6-1 4-6 6-1 6-2.

"It was a great match, I started really well and I was confident," Alcaraz said in his on-court interview. "He started playing better in the second set and didn't miss much, so it became a bit tricky."

Alcaraz was dominant again in the last two sets and only allowed the Hungarian three games. The world number 2 will meet the winner of the match between the Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia in the third round.
