Dutch tennis player Jesper de Jong has also been eliminated in the doubles at Roland Garros. The 24-year-old Dutchman lost alongside Belgian Zizou Bergs in the first round to the French/Portuguese duo Arthur Rinderknech and Nuno Borges in three sets: 6-3 2-6 3-6. De Jong lost in the second round in the singles on Thursday to the third-seeded German Alexander Zverev.
Sem Verbeek and his Swedish doubles partner André Göransson advanced to the second round after a victory over the French pair Alexandre Müller and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard: 6-4 7-6 (4).
