Coach Slot loses Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool

Coach Arne Slot will have to do without Trent Alexander-Arnold next season. The 26-year-old defender has informed the club management that he will not extend his expiring contract and will leave Liverpool after this season, the club reports.
Liverpool-born Alexander-Arnold joined the club as a youth player in 2004. He made his debut in 2016 and has made 352 appearances for Liverpool, winning their second Premier League title this year and the Champions League in 2019.
"First of all, I want to say that this is not an easy decision and that I have had to think about it for a long time," the footballer said. "I have been here for twenty years and I have enjoyed every minute of it and I have achieved all my dreams and everything I wanted. I have given everything, every day for twenty years and I have come to a point where I feel that I need a change, a new challenge."
