Speculative broker Plus500 is flourishing as clients lose their money

- 80% of investors lose money with Plus500, yet the derivatives broker is popular.
- Plus500 makes a lot of profit itself and promotes its extremely risky investments with the help of football clubs and a well-known actor.
- The AFM regulator hinted at a ban, but later retracted its decision.
For the AFM regulator, it was crystal clear ten years ago: 'Very risky and complicated products that are only suitable for investors with a lot of knowledge, experience, risk appetite and capital.' Nevertheless, contracts for difference (cfds) are still widely available. Almost everyone suffers losses, but the house always wins: cfd provider Plus500 made hundreds of millions in profit last year.
