Ralph Fiennes, who played Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, gives tips to his successor. The casting procedure for the HBO series based on the successful book series is currently underway.

For his role as the infamous villain, Fiennes wore a black cloak with a train. "Make sure you can handle the long, flowing robes and not trip over them," the actor advises in an interview with the American entertainment site Entertainment Tonight. This was not the only challenge of his costume. The British actor also says that during the filming he had to wear tights that "went down and became uncomfortable during the day of filming."

Fiennes has appeared in five of the eight Harry Potter films. He made his debut as Voldemort in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar earlier this year for his role in Conclave, has previously said he would be open to returning as Voldemort.

Earlier this year, HBO announced the lead actors for the upcoming series. It was also already clear that Paapa Essiedu, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer and Nick Frost will be playing.
