Kees Boot reveals his favorite scene in GTST: 'That there was a kind of spark'

Luuk has been appearing on Meerdijk since 2022, and he's become an integral part of the soap opera. Yet, when asked about his favorite scene ever on Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (Good Times, Bad Times) , Kees recalls the very first moment he stepped into Luuk's shoes. "That was in De Koning," he explains. "I see Linda and Linda sees me, and there's a kind of spark."

While filming that very first scene, the actor had a moment of clarity: "I'm in GTST now," he says proudly. In that scene, he was opposite Babette van Veen, who has played the role of Linda for years. Luuk and Linda have even gotten married in the series, so the two see each other regularly on set. And that's no hardship, if we're to believe Kees. "She's a fantastic person, I love her," he says lovingly.

Still, Kees also thinks it would be nice if his character became a bit less well-behaved. "I'd like to have a bit of a bad side. I'd like to have a secret that's slowly coming out, so I can have a second wife somewhere." Still, the question remains whether Luuk will color outside the lines in the new season.

The soap opera will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in October. Caroline de Bruin (Janine in GTST ) and Erik de Vogel (Ludo in GTST ) have already announced that familiar faces will be returning to the soap opera.
