Free digital ID cards in Bogotá: Who is eligible and how to apply?

The District Registry will hold two workshops to incorporate 6,200 senior citizens in Bogotá into the digital citizen identification system . The goal is to strengthen social inclusion and improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable. How will these free ID cards be processed?

The campaign is aimed at older adults in vulnerable situations, identified through the District Secretariat for Social Integration (SDIS) and the San Cristóbal Local Mayor's Office. Beneficiaries were selected from these entities' databases, prioritizing those in greatest need.

The delivery of digital ID cards will be carried out in two phases:

• First phase: at the District Care Center (CADE) La Victoria.

• Second phase: at the San Cristóbal Local Mayor's Office. More than 80 people will be served each day, until the planned total is reached. The process includes updating biometric and identity data to incorporate seniors into digital citizen identification systems.
