They report that a child was not allowed into Espanyol's stadium for wearing a Barça shirt.

Senator and mayor of La Roda (Albacete), Juan Ramón Amores , who has been suffering from ALS for years, has reported on the social network X that Espanyol's security services did not allow his 11-year-old son to enter the field during Wednesday's derby, because he was wearing a Barcelona shirt.

Amores posted in a complaint thread on X: "Today I took my 11-year-old son to his first @LaLiga match and they didn't let us in . The @RCDEspanyol security team didn't let my son in because he was wearing a @FCBarcelona shirt and shorts under his sweatshirt."

The councilor continued: "He put one of my raincoats over his head and stripped down to his underwear . He put his gear in my wheelchair backpack, and that wasn't enough. They wanted me to throw it away, and I refused."

"My son was crying, and I was powerless because my voice wouldn't let me argue ," lamented the La Roda councilor, referring to his illness.

And he asserted: "The best league in the world?? My nose!! There's talk of racism, homophobia, respect for the referee, what people experience in the stands of youth sports... but not being able to go with your son to a football match wearing his shirt is LAMENTABLE ."

Amores also commented that he would like this thread of complaint to be read by the Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría , and by the president of the National Professional Football League (LNFP), Javier Tebas , as well as by well-known sports journalists.

"I don't know if my son will ever return to a stadium with the fear he experienced today . I'm certainly proud that he's swimming," Amores said, adding: "It's certainly hard for me today to explain to him why he couldn't play football and what we did wrong after a six-hour trip."
