The Universidad de Chile fan who fell from the Independiente stands spoke about his health.

Gonzalo Alfaro, a Universidad de Chile fan who fell from a stand at Independiente's stadium last Wednesday, spoke for the first time since the violent incidents at the Rojo stadium and explained his current health status.
"I'm fine now, I'm doing really well," he said in an audio recording he sent to his acquaintances in Chile, according to TN .
He expressed his gratitude for the messages he received and announced that he will soon return to his country after a week in the hospital with severe injuries following the violent incidents that occurred during a Copa Sudamericana match, which are being investigated by the Argentine courts and the South American Football Confederation.
Alfaro, who was hospitalized in serious condition but has improved in recent days, began by greeting the recipients of the audio, presumably his close friends, and giving an initial overview of his current health.
The Chilean fan who fell into the void and was attacked on the ground
"Hi everyone, I'm Gonzalo Alfaro here, Carolo's son," began Alfaro, who suffered severe head trauma from the fall and required surgery.
"I wanted to thank you all so much for your support, for your prayers, for keeping me in mind. To everyone who took the time to ask how I'm doing. I'm fine now, I'm doing really well, " he added.
He then predicted that he would return to Chile in the near future to reunite with his family. He named his daughters, his parents, and other relatives.
And he added: "And to all of you who have been there for me, supporting me through this difficult time, I send this message from the bottom of my heart, and thank you so much, I repeat, thank you so much for all the support , for all the compassion you have shown me."
Regarding his future, he insisted, he said he was "really looking forward to moving forward and putting more energy into life than before."
Barbarism in Avellaneda: Independiente fans lynch U. de Chile rioters in the stands
"All my love, I send you a big hug and kiss, thank you very much," concluded Alfaro, a fan of the Chilean team whose family was planning to travel to Argentina to see them, according to a friend who accompanied him to the match in Avellaneda.
The day after the incidents, Reynaldo, a friend of Alfaro, had told TN that they were not hooligans , but rather "barritas, hinchas" (small fans), who had bought the tickets on their own, thus denying belonging to "Los de abajo," the official fan club of the blue team.
Meanwhile, Independiente expelled the fans identified as having participated in the clashes, and the Argentine justice system is expected to make progress in its investigation into the incident.
Furthermore, it remains to be seen what CONMEBOL will do in sporting and disciplinary terms regarding the two teams and the continuation of the tournament, which both institutions won in previous editions.
