The huge difference between the annual salaries of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona players has come to light.

The French newspaper L'Equipe has revealed the significant difference between the average annual salaries of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona players, following a study conducted on what major European teams pay their players.
After analyzing specialized websites such as Capology Data and Betideas, the French outlet states that Real Madrid "has an average annual salary of €11.2 million per player for the 2025-2026 season," i.e., "60% higher than that of most major European clubs."
Real Madrid, although it is spending less money on salaries this season, having spent over 12 million last year, is well ahead of FC Barcelona , which is second on this list.
The Blaugrana club appears with an average annual salary of 7.91 million euros per player, also less than last season's 8.5 million, and ahead of Manchester City, with 7.43 million in the top three.
The rest of the top 10 includes Bayern Munich (€7.38 million), Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal (both around €7 million), Liverpool and Manchester United (around €6 million), and Chelsea and Tottenham (around €4.5 million).
