The Great Circus returns to America with the Miami GP

The 2025 Miami Grand Prix marks the return of Formula 1 to the Americas, marking the sixth round of the championship and the first on U.S. soil. The event will take place from May 2 to 4 at the Miami International Raceway , a 5.4-kilometer, 19-turn street circuit located near Hard Rock Stadium.
The track, which debuted in 2022, features three DRS zones and has seen memorable victories, including those of Max Verstappen in 2022 and 2023, and Lando Norris in 2024.
This year, the sprint format adds extra excitement to the weekend , with points up for grabs in both Saturday's sprint race and Sunday's main race. Free practice on Friday, May 2, will take place at 4:30 p.m. and sprint qualifying at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, May 3, the sprint race will be held at 12:00 p.m., followed by qualifying for the main race at 4:00 p.m. Finally, on Sunday, May 4, the main race will start at 4:00 p.m.
McLaren's Australian driver Oscar Piastri arrives in Miami as the championship leader with 99 points, after winning in China, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. His performance has been outstanding, even surpassing his teammate Lando Norris , who has 89 points. Max Verstappen , four-time world champion and the most successful driver in Miami, is in third place with 87 points. The competition between these three drivers promises to be intense, especially on a circuit where Verstappen has demonstrated his dominance in the past.
In addition to the on-track action, Miami becomes an entertainment epicenter during Grand Prix weekend . Events like the Racing Fan Fest in Wynwood and parties hosted by brands like McLaren and Jack Daniel's offer fans unique experiences that combine music, simulators, and historic car displays.
With warm weather and the excitement of Formula 1, the 2025 Miami Grand Prix is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the calendar, offering both motorsports fans and entertainment enthusiasts an unforgettable experience.
