Olympiacos, led by Spaniard José Luis Mendilibar , who secured the Greek League title a few days ago, rounded off their successful campaign with the double by winning the Cup after beating OFI Crete (0-2) in the final played at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.

The first double of Mendilibar's career , now in his second year in Greek football, marked Olympiacos' 29th cup win, extending their lead over Panathinaikos, who are second with 20 successes.

OFI Crete, which reached the cup final for the third time, only won the Cup once, in 1987. It lost the other two.

Olympiacos' eighteenth double, their first since 2020, was secured in the ninth minute with a goal from Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi, assisted by Brazilian Rodinei. They sealed the victory in stoppage time with a goal from Ukrainian Roman Yaremchuk.

The Greek Cup is the fourth trophy Mendilibar has won in recent years. After winning the Europa League with Sevilla in 2023, he moved to Olympiacos, where he won the Conference League title, adding the Greek League and Cup this season.
