MEXICO CITY (apro).- After writer Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller's mistake in her birthday greeting to President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo yesterday, which caused a stir on social media, the federal leader thanked her for the gesture and retorted: "She is an extraordinary, intelligent, and highly cultured woman."

Yesterday, the wife of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador wrote a congratulatory message on her Facebook account for the head of the Executive Branch on her 63rd birthday, in which she stated:

“…May good fortune fill your day, may your health not fail you, and may intelligence, of which you have no shortage , continue to be your guide in leading the destiny of our beloved Mexico.”

The writer's mistake in her writing sparked controversy and ridicule on social media.

This Wednesday morning, during her press conference at the National Palace, Sheinbaum Pardo was questioned about the incident. With a slight smile, she replied:

"I really love Beatriz. She's an extraordinary, intelligent, and highly cultured woman. So, I'd rather thank her for the congratulations."
