Palantir breaks the $1 billion revenue mark and joins Wall Street's elite
Palantir, the company founded by Peter Thiel, has entered the Wall Street elite. Its second-quarter fiscal year results exceeded all expectations, placing it in the top 20 of the country's most valuable firms. The cybersecurity firm generated $1.004 billion in revenue , surpassing the estimated $940 million, representing a 48% year-over-year increase. These figures shatter all expectations of growth.
Palantir has increased its revenue by 48%, reaching the $1 billion mark six months ahead of expectations. As a result, it has raised its revenue expectations for this year by $250 million . Furthermore, the company, which has signed numerous lucrative contracts with the White House since Trump returned to the presidency, has increased its revenue from the US government by 53%.
The result of this strong performance is a 144% year-over-year increase in profits . The North American company posted profits of $326 million, equivalent to 16 cents per share compared to the market estimate of 14 cents.
At the same time, Palantir's customer base has grown by 64% in the past year , allowing its non-government-affiliated business to grow by 93% to 692 business partners.
All of this has pleased investors, as Palantir has risen more than 4% in after-hours trading. This consolidates the company's position as one of Wall Street's most bullish performers, posting gains of 113% so far this year, entering the top 20 most valuable companies in the US.
