Fire at La Soldadera restaurant was due to a gas heater failure: Civil Protection

MEXICO CITY (apro) .- On the night of Friday, October 24, a fire broke out at the La Soldadera restaurant, located on Avenida de la República, across from the Monument to the Revolution in the Cuauhtémoc borough.
According to the district's Civil Protection Directorate, the fire in the Tabacalera neighborhood could have been caused by a faulty gas heater.
On the ground floor of a restaurant building, a leak ignited in an LP gas-fired space heater, which subsequently ignited a fire. Two tables, a tarp, chairs, and the filth accumulated in the extraction hood were burned.
