The toughest questions Guillermo Francos received and the reproaches after waiting two hours in a heated session due to the crypto scandal

The questioning of Guillermo Francos regarding the crypto scandal got off to a heated start, even before the Chief of Staff entered the Chamber of Deputies. The official had to wait almost two hours to enter and face the opposition's questions. And when he finally settled into his seat, the questions made him uncomfortable.
" Never in my life have I made anyone wait two hours for a meeting; it's disrespectful," Francos said as soon as he entered the building, around 4 p.m. The session was scheduled for 2 p.m., although it was actually supposed to take place on Tuesday the 22nd and was postponed due to national mourning for the death of Pope Francis.
The pre-event left the room very heated. There were accusations and criticisms about the questioning methodology. The temperature also rose due to the absence of Luis Caputo and Mariano Cúneo Libarona.
After nearly two hours of shouting and accusations, Francos entered the venue to be questioned about the crypto scandal.
"What day do you have off to come here and show your faces?" Pablo Juliano (Democracy Forever) asked ironically. "No one is disrespecting the Chief of Staff," he added.
That heated atmosphere greeted Francos in the House of Representatives. As soon as he sat down, Peronist representative Sergio Casas called him "shameless." Unlike his entrance, the questions were immediate.
Union for the Homeland deputies criticized the Chief of Staff for the Executive's sponsorship of the Tech Forum and Mauricio Novelli's visits to the Casa Rosada. Juan Marino published press clippings to try to corner Francos.
"You're following press reports. If you have any evidence, bring it to justice," Francos replied.

The Chief of Staff answered some questions. However, when faced with other queries , he preferred to avoid giving feedback . He apologized for lack of information and for what he said were personal assessments and not the deputies' queries. They even persistently asked him the same questions.
It was then that the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, tried to come to his defense. "Are you Francos's lawyer?" Menem was rebuked.
The issue of lawyers came up again in the session just a few minutes later. "At the moment, Milei doesn't need a lawyer," said Francos, who extended his comment to the situation of Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency. "It seems to me that, so far, she doesn't need a lawyer. I suppose that if she receives an accusation, she will appoint one, but so far she doesn't need one," he reiterated regarding Milei's situation.
At another point, he acknowledged that he doesn't manage "the blockchain system" and made an unusual comment: "I once had a quarter of a bitcoin and lost it because I forgot which operator had it."
"I only had a quarter of a bitcoin once and I lost it," Francos said of his experience with cryptocurrencies.
One of the most critical points was the famous tweet that Javier Milei posted on social media seconds after the launch of the #LIBRA token to promote the cryptocurrency.
Regarding this, the Chief of Staff ruled out any "preferential treatment" in the dissemination of the project over others. In line with his general statement, he said he was unaware of the initiative's links to SMEs. The President's tweet spoke of a link between cryptocurrency and funds supposedly designed to boost Argentine small and medium-sized businesses.
There was another intervention from Juliano that bothered Francos. "Do you like the sea or the mountains? Maybe he feels like answering something else because he didn't answer anything we asked him ," he joked. He clarified, however, that the insult wasn't meant to disrespect him, but noted that "the Argentine people have already been disrespected."
