The judge proposes prosecuting Pedro Sánchez's brother for influence peddling and malfeasance.

The presiding judge of Badajoz Court of First Instance No. 3, Beatriz Biedma, has proposed opening a trial against Pedro Sánchez's brother, David Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, among others, for alleged crimes of administrative malfeasance and influence peddling.
Davis Sánchez Castejón was summoned to testify last Friday as a suspect, along with former Moncloa advisor Luis María Carrero, the Deputy for Culture of the Badajoz Provincial Council, Ricardo Cabezas, and the Director of the Badajoz Provincial Council, Manuel Candalija, within the framework of the ongoing investigation into his employment at the Badajoz Provincial Council.
In a 70-page ruling issued this Monday, April 28, to which Europa Press has had access, Judge Beatriz Biedma establishes that the summary proceedings against the suspects David Sánchez, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, and Luis Carrero, among other officials of the Badajoz Provincial Council, will continue.
The investigating judge also stipulates that the Public Prosecutor's Office and the charges filed in this case be forwarded so that "within the usual period of 10 days they may request the opening of an oral trial, formulating a written indictment or dismissal of the case, or, exceptionally, the performance of additional proceedings," Europa Press reports.
